How to choose industrial chiller for mixing station?
If you choose a large one, the energy consumption will be high, and if you choose a small one, the temperature will not drop.
Therefore, it is very important to choose a suitable industrial chiller. The concrete after mixing is generally required to be between 18-20°, so choose a model with 5° water outlet. Do not use ground water. If you use ground water, it will cause severe pipe wall structure and even block all pipes. If there is only ground water on site, you must install a pre-filter to protect the industrial chiller.
Then determine the size of your industrial chiller according to the temperature difference, cooling capacity, and cooling time. The temperature difference is the inlet water temperature minus the outlet water temperature. For example, if the inlet water is 25°C and the outlet water is °C, then the temperature difference is 20°C, and the amount of chilled water is what is needed on site How many cubic meters of frozen water is there? If the cooling time is 2 hours, the cooling time required for water entering at 25°C and coming out at 5°C is then substituted into the formula based on these two parameters.
Air-cooled calculation formula:
(chilled water m³×temperature difference ℃)÷cooling time/h÷0.86=cooling capacity kw
Cooling capacity kw ÷ 2.8 = horsepower HP
Water-cooled calculation formula:
(chilled water m³×temperature difference ℃)÷cooling time/h÷0.86=cooling capacity kw
Cooling capacity kw÷3=horsepower HP
Screw calculation formula:
(chilled water m³×temperature difference ℃)÷cooling time/h÷0.86=cooling capacity kw
Cooling capacity kw ÷ 3.2 = horsepower HP
In short, when choosing an industrial chiller, it is also necessary to consider its control system and degree of automation. Industrial chillers with a high degree of automation are easy to operate, easy to monitor and adjust, and improve production efficiency and stability. Most of the chillers used in concrete mixing plants are screw chillers. Cooling water also needs to be changed and cleaned regularly to keep it in top condition and to guarantee the quality and efficiency of concrete production.
