Characteristics of different compressors for screw chillers

Screw chiller compressor types mainly include single-stage compression chillers, two-stage compression chillers, screw compression chillers, centrifugal compression chillers and reciprocating compressors. In the refrigeration system, several common refrigeration compressors have different characteristics. Therefore, they have their own advantages and their own disadvantages in terms of performance.

The following are the characteristics of different compressor types for screw chillers:

1. Single-stage compression chiller: A single-stage compression chiller uses a single compressor for compression. It is characterized by simple structure, low maintenance cost, but relatively low efficiency.

2.Two-stage compression chiller: The two-stage compression chiller uses two compressors for compression, one of which is called a low-stage compressor, which is responsible for compressing the refrigerant to medium pressure; the other compressor is called an advanced compressor, Responsible for compressing the refrigerant to high pressure. It is characterized by high efficiency and good cooling effect, but the cost is relatively high.

3. Screw compression chiller: The screw compression chiller uses a screw compressor for compression. The screw compressor has the characteristics of high efficiency, low noise, strong reliability and good refrigeration effect, and is suitable for medium and large refrigeration systems.

3.Centrifugal compression chiller: Centrifugal compression chiller uses a centrifugal compressor for compression. The centrifugal compressor has the characteristics of high efficiency and high reliability, and is suitable for large-scale refrigeration systems.

5. Reciprocating compressor: The reciprocating compressor uses the piston to reciprocate in the cylinder to realize the compression and transportation of the refrigerant. Reciprocating compressors are suitable for small air conditioning and refrigeration systems. It is characterized by simple structure, convenient maintenance, small cooling capacity range, high noise and vibration, but low energy efficiency.

In general, different compression chillers differ in terms of cooling effect, energy efficiency ratio, noise, reliability, cost, etc. The selection of a suitable chiller needs to be determined according to the specific cooling needs and scenarios.
